Enian software is a cross-platform, ITIL®-aligned software tool designed to help IT workers and managers get the job done without getting bogged down in complexity. While targeted at small and medium-sized IT support organizations out of the box, it could be adapted to help manage the work flow of just about any group, even some outside of IT.
Enian is open source, but not subject to feature overload or design by committee. At Extensible LLC, open source means you get source code, including any customizations you purchase from Extensible LLC or develop internally. However, contributions to the shared code base are controlled exclusively by Extensible LLC, so that features of interest to a small minority don't clutter the software used by all. At the same time, if you're in the minority, you can typically get a feature developed for less if another customer already has it running.
Unlike competing offerings, a typical Enian implementation is a customized copy of software that draws off a common code base providing the basics, with Extensible LLC providing the customization and support services to make the software work your way. The goal is to maximize productivity within your organization, rather than simply maximizing sales of user licenses and support fees with a one-size-fits-all approach.
Exactly what's in the common code base? Try the Enian Demo and see for yourself. Then imagine adding features, forms and work flows specific to your organization on top!
Since its inception, Enian has been aligned with ITIL® V3, helping to manage the nuts and bolts of any IT organization. It includes support for the following ITIL processes:
Enian software uses a familiar combination of trees and tables, with the added ability to mix-and-match different objects using tabs. The design bas both the needs of front-line workers and managers in mind. It supports efficient data entry, plus convenient queries for those who need to see the bigger picture.
In general, you view something by something else, choosing tabs from upper left to lower right. Once done, selections in the tree drive what is shown on the right. More than one selection (shift-click or ctrl-click) is often supported.
With rich support for tree structures, you can easily (but optionally) group related items together to show cause and effect.
The Select Entire Branch... pop-up menu item makes it easy to find useful answers:
Thanks to cross-platform Java technology, the following platforms are all supported:
